Security cameras recorded a man attacking a Range Rover with stones at Bexon last week.
The vehicle owner told St Lucia Times that he had parked the 2015 Range Rover in the yard at the Auto Specialists outlet at Bexon when the incident occurred on Thursday, about 8.30 am.
But he said people told him the perpetrator is a mental patient.
Nevertheless, the owner disclosed that he made a report to the police.
A video showed a man climbing onto the chain link fence.
He takes aim and hurls a missile at the back windscreen of the Range Rover, smashing the glass.
However, male passerby on the other side of the road seemed oblivious to what was going on.
But climbing down after the first act of vandalism, the perpetrator climbs the fence again and pelts another stone at the vehicle.
He then casts a furtive glance behind him as he walks away in the 30 second video.
According to one estimate, the damage to the back windscreen and a rear passenger window will cost the owner some $2,000 to fix.
