Police have started a probe into videos of several minor children smoking what appears to be ganja, sources say.

An individual who said they are familiar with the case told St Lucia Times that the incident occurred Wednesday.

According to the source, the children were in a house in Baron’s Drive, Soufriere.

The person, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the  six minors involved are between the ages of six and twelve.

And the source said they were smoking marijuana.

All the minors in the video are females.

In one of the videos, a girl is puffing on a cigarette as she sways, apparently to the sound of music in the background.

“Pass it, pass it,” another girl urges.

When the first girl complies, the second one takes the cigarette, faces the camera and takes three puffs.

However, a third girl urges: “Pass it! Pass it.!”

As a result, she in turn takes the cigarette, takes a few puffs and passes it to  another girl who looks older than the others.

Another video on social media shows the older girl lighting up and passing a cigarette to other young females.

“The owner of the house was not there,” the St Lucia Times source explained.

And the source said the owner was livid when he realised what happened.

A  parent has reported the matter to the  police, the source explained.

The source said that an adult who was in the house with the children at the time recorded the videos and put them on social media.
