Vincentian Police Hunt Escaped Prisoner

Police and prison authorities in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines on Saturday announced that they had launched a manhunt to recapture an escaped prisoner.

A police statement identified the escapee as Orwin Small of Campden Park.

According to the statement, Small was serving a two year sentence for burglary and damage to property.

Authorities believe he escaped on Saturday about 11.00 am.

At the time, he was working on a farm at Belle Isles.

And the last time persons saw the inmate, he was wearing a white vest and the orange prison trousers.

The police have appealed for members of the Vincentian public to assist with information leading to Small’s recapture.

But they have indicated that the fugitive should be approached with caution.
