Weekend violence prompted five calls to the Saint Lucia Fire Service (SLFS) regarding separate shooting incidents and five relating to physical assaults.
The disclosure came Monday from SLFS spokeswoman, Stacy Joseph.
Joseph was at the time delivering the fire service report for the weekend of March 19 to 22.
“It was a particularly strenuous weekend for the Fire Service as well as a tragic and traumatising weekend for the country,” she said.
According to Joseph, the SLFS recorded a total 84 ambulance responses in the North and South.
However, Joseph disclosed that there was a decrease in motor vehicular incidents.
She said the SLFS made only two responses in that regard.
And there were also three responses to calls relating to rubbish fires.
