Bandits robbed Dr Freezers on High Street, Castries, on Saturday about 2:46 pm, relieving the business place of cash and fleeing within seconds after committing their crime which was recorded on CCTV cameras.
Manager Darren James told St Lucia Times that two men wearing masks, one of whom was brandishing a firearm, entered the ice cream parlour and fast food outlet and held up two employees while demanding cash.
James explained that the employees complied as the business place has instructed them to do under such circumstances to prevent themselves from harm.
He said one customer was there at the time.
According to the manager, within about 30 seconds the bandits had taken the cash and had fled in the direction of the CDC buildings.
