The Pierre Administration continues to refine education policies that promotes holistic youth development in Saint Lucia. Prime Minister Hon. Philip J. Pierre has provided the resources to further empower the Education Ministry to implement its strategic One Laptop per Child policy.

On September 8, Hon. Pierre joined Education Minister Hon. Shawn Edward and senior officials in the Education Ministry to hand over a consignment of Chromebooks to the students of the Entrepot Secondary School.

More than 14,000 computer and laptop devices have been distributed to Saint Lucian students since Hon. Pierre’s Labour Party Administration assumed Office last August.

  1. St. Lucians Complain ccomplain complain be grateful for the chromebooks and do your own research –in some parts of the world students don’t even have notebooks ?????????
If you give St. Lucians an orange, they want an apple – give me a break.

  2. Good deed but no offense a chromebook is kinda the most useless laptop you can get. It works only on internet and therefore hinders execution processes in terms of homework, projects, SBAs, etc .

  3. Just curious…what has happened to all the other laptops distributed over the years? We talking our tax payers money, the only people who benefit from 14,000 Chromebooks getting distributed is some corporate executive white man who doesn’t know where St. Lucia is on a map. We have reached peak stupidity in this country.

  4. Out of heart comes out 😈 evil and négative thoughts. Therefore love ❀️ must be sincere. Honor one another !!

  6. Commendable Mr. Prime Minister. I am a form 5 student and I want to be a Nurse. However, I am reconsidering my decision because I am aware that the Department of Nursing at SALCC is very unhealthy. That administration is adversely affecting the health of our future nurses. Hon Prime Minister please assist out future nurses .

  7. Great jesture but plz gv my son a laptop quick so he can stop using my laptop to do his homework. We eh want Chromebook. I might be wrong but to me this only works on Internet and without Internet is useless, so laptop plz.

    • Just what I was thinking will these Chromebooks be for use only at school or also at home and if at home will every students’ home be equip with internet service

  8. I just want pjp to know that I never voted SLP so that turncoat UWPs can benefit, simply because they saw the looming loss of the UWP and jumped on the SLP bandwagon and paid a few measly dollars into the slp campaign. These turncoats are now reaping big rewards on their measly campaign finance whilst die hard SLPs who had dedicated their years of time and effort and made themselves targets for discrimination under UWP are forgotten, neglected and cast aside. I hope pjp knows that the very UWPs that he is giving priority over loyal SLPs that he is helping them position themselves in top level positions for when they kick SLP out. When SLP loses the next election, they will never see power in this country again. They have lost my support and that of many many of their supporters because of their betrayal. SLP – Sellout Labour People
