VIDEO: Watchman injured in robbery released from hospital

A watchman who was injured when armed bandits attacked Valley Cold Storage Warehouse at Cul de Sac on Thursday, has been released from hospital.
The robbery, which occurred at about 2:00am Thursday morning, was captured on CCTV camera.

The watchman, identified as Grant Leriche, was beaten up and had a bag placed over his head during the incident.
He sustained multiple injuries.
The 4 bandits made off with an undisclosed quantity of cash, mostly coins, and goods, according to reports.
In July, bandits held up a Valley Cold Storage vehicle.
The owner of Valley Cold Storage, Damon Walters, has expressed disappointment with the police.
Walters said it was ‘most disturbing’ that after an initial response to the report of the robbery, it took over 24 hours for officers to take down the first statements relating to the incident.
He told St Lucia Times that he had been informed that the officer dealing with the case was off duty.
