“We collect items to put together hampers for the less fortunate and we give them out to different people in different parts of Saint Lucia,” Hilaire disclosed.

This year, a total of 87 hampers are being distributed by the group.

Hilaire observed that there are a lot of clubs and church groups that young people can get involved in to keep themselves occupied and less likely to engage in negative behaviour.

She told St Lucia Times that the young sharks visited various Massy supermarkets asking people to donate cash or items towards the hampers.
