Police say they arrested a young man with an illegal gun on the same day as this week’s brazen shooting in Castries.
As a result, officers are investigating a possible link to Wednesday morning’s shooting.
A law enforcement official told St Lucia Times that a ballistic test will determine whether there is a link.
But in the meantime, the official disclosed that the police will charge the man who is in their custody.
The official said the individual is in his twenties.
Police held him in Castries shortly after a man whom they identified as Ricardo Mc Garron sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the chest on Chisel Street, in the capital.
An ambulance transported the 29 year old to OKEU hospital.
And earlier this week, police disclosed that the victim was in stable condition.
