Zinga Venner Appointed To Senior World Bank Post

Saint Lucian Zinga Venner has been appointed Director at the World Bank Group Finance and Accounting (Financial Controls), Prime Minister Allen Chastanet has announced.

Chastanet made the announcement on his official Facebook page, asserting that Saint Lucians continue to have ‘amazing accomplishments’ in so many different sectors.

“I congratulate Zinga Venner on being appointed Director at the World Bank Group Finance and Accounting (Financial Controls),” he said.

According to the PM, Venner joined the bank in 2000 and has risen through the ranks.

“Now is truly our Nation’s time,” he declared.

Zinga Venner is the daughter of the late Governor of the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB), Sir Dwight Venner.

Sir Dwight passed away on 22 December 2016.

    • Congratulations! Miss Venner.
Its just a pity that while the PM is boasting about the achievements of our nation’s people abroad, he wants to prevent some at home from eating. Just check how he wants Janine Compton, daughter of the father of the nation, to starve. SMH

  1. Yup, Lucians do well outside of St. Lucia. In St. Lucia they’re held back by the partisan politics, the nepotism and cronyism, dimming their light and their talents. Congrats to the lady.
