Diane Felicien, a friend and former colleague of Omar Defreitas, has welcomed the offer of a $ 20,000 reward for credible information regarding his whereabouts.
The offer came from Omar’s employer, the Bodyholiday, and the Saint Lucia Hospitality and Tourism Association (SLHTA).
Omar disappeared without a trace earlier this month.
People last saw him on January 6, 2023, leaving the Sandals Golf and County Club in Cap Estate.
“We continue to encourage anybody who has any information, not just for the reward, but to bring some hope, some closure to the family, to really come out and share the information with the authorities,” Omar’s friend Diane Felicien told reporters.
She said it was good that a reward was available.
“You don’t have to be identified. Just share the information,” Felicien stated.
Individuals with information have been invited to call the helpline 555.
“The hope continues to be alive,” Felicien asserted.
She said everyone is hoping Omar will be found alive and return home.
