On Saturday, July 27, 2024, the Richfond Police Station received and responded to a report of a shooting which occurred at La Ressource, Dennery, which claimed the lives of two (2) males.
At the location of the incident, investigators discovered the motionless body of a male victim, who bore signs of apparent gunshot injuries.
Saint Lucia Fire Service personnel who responded attended to both victims. However, this victim was later declared deceased by a medical practitioner on the scene.
He has been identified as twenty-two-year-old (22) Ernest William of Belle Vue, Vieux Fort.
The other victim, thirty-nine-year-old (39) Angus Jeffery of Belle Vue, Vieux Fort, also sustained serious apparent gunshot injuries.
He was taken to the Owen King European Union (OKEU) hospital for further treatment, where he was listed in critical condition. On Sunday July 28, 2024, Angus Jeffery passed away and a medical practitioner declared his death.
The Major Crimes Unit (MCU) has been tasked with the responsibility of these investigations.
The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force (RSLPF) is urging persons with information regarding this homicide to contact the Major Crimes Unit at 456-3754 or the Richfond Police Station at 456-3690.
