They will keep advancing. Now they posing as the popo. Only when they start going after politicians and judges and lawyers will the ruling class starting acting.
What number homicide is this now? 60? Did y’all stop counting because the situation is hopeless?
@ Asking for a Friend, I said that after the last young lady was killed. When it was either 51 or 52 depending on the media platform( that’s why such information must come from the authorities) you read or listened to. Every one after that was just police probe. In my estimation it this one might be the 5th or 6th. Since they stopped giving us the updated figures, I too have lost count. I prefer to concentrate on protecting my loved one from falling victim. However I think it is imperative that we are kept abreast of the numbers.
But he was a ‘good boy’ 🤔
54 Murders in Phillip J Pierre’s Saint Lucia
The media has been told to stop counting because your lives are not important.
That is the same crew from the bank robbery. No doubt about it.They’re a little more sophisticated than the other criminals. They watching too much tv.
We are into the fourth year of this government. Any security plan drawn up should be in the mid-term phase. Mid-term plans are normally projected between 3-5 years from conception. In order to have a successful mid-term plan, one must monitor and make adjustments to the short term plan. Short-term plans generally cover within a one-year window.
All plans are generally briefed to the head manager (prime minister in our case). If the head manager does not have the experience, skills or knowledge, he can approve a flawed plan. Although a plan may sound great, it can be seriously flawed. Estimations may be rosey or intelligence might be incorrect. It takes someone with experience to discern fact from fiction. Preferably, a person who has withstood scrutiny of their own plan.
Presently, we are in the mid-term plan (if customs hold true). The way it’s heading, we may surpass last year’s murder count. For certain, we are not at the stage of containment. It’s the point of keeping murders at negligible levels. A possible indicator that things are going to turnaround.
With limited information, one thing is clear, our short-term plan suffered from issues. It couldn’t have been a total flop, because some vehicles and equipment were delivered during the first year. The problem is a certain someone’s inability to identify flaws in the short-term plan presented. Short-term plans give momentum to achieving later goals.
Any government security plan should have laid the groundwork for (legislation, infrastructure) to cease bail and house gun criminals. Pierre will NEVER turn the corner at the rate he is going. He has to change the equation. It’s like catching fishes in a pond. Then, releasing them back into the pond. Finally, showing surprise that the pond is still filled with fishes.
@The Honorable, I don’t think you are the SLP spokesperson. I think it is about 56 or more. Persons in authority read these comments so why don’t they just come out and give us the true picture.
Parents hold on to your kids raise them in the right way
The numbers are one thing, be it up or down or stay the same; the important thing is what are we doing to change the cycle of the beast? year after year able healthy young men in their prime are killed American style; for what, a few $, control of an area, betrayal or maybe a girlfriend, who knows; murder is murder and Hell is happy – the population keeps growing.
I don’t think the Govt. is too concerned about that. The Minister, whoever he or she is may be more concerned about Jaz festival, Carnival, selling Lucian Passports, or on Radio talking nonsense, counting his or her Bank accounts; irrespective of Party Collars – ST. LUCIA THE SAME TODAY, YESTERDAY AND TOMORROW. Lord have mercy.
