Male Injured After Cement Truck Crash

A twenty-nine-year-old male sustained injuries when a cement truck crashed into the George F.L. Charles airport fence on Friday.

The Saint Lucia Fire Service (SLFS) said it received a distress call at about 1:20 am and found the victim walking towards the ambulance on arrival.

According to a SLFS release, the man said he could not recall what led up to the incident.

The emergency responders who assessed him observed that he had a tear to the bottom of his lip.

The responders treated and transported him to a medical facility for further care.

Police are investigating the incident.
