Multiple Individuals Injured In Road Accidents, Assault

Between Friday and Monday, the Saint Lucia Fire Service (SLFS) rushed fifteen people to hospital after a physical assault and two road accidents.

The physical assault occurred on Friday at Pavee, Castries.

SLFS emergency responders found a man sitting at the roadside complaining of pain in the right side of his abdomen.

The responders treated the patient, who had sustained multiple puncture wounds, before transporting him to a medical facility for advanced medical care.

On Saturday, a collision involving two motorists at Lumiere, Dennery, resulted in injuries to three male individuals whom SLFS personnel transported to a medical facility after providing emergency first aid.

In addition, on Monday, a collision involving a minibus, a pickup van, and two parked vehicles resulted in injuries to eleven individuals.

SLFS responders treated them before conveying them to a medical facility for further care.

There was also a fire at La Caye, Dennery, on Sunday.

Firefighters who responded found a wood and concrete dwelling fully engulfed.

They contained and extinguished the fire and reported no occupants in the building.
