Persons With Disabilities Urged To Apply For Free Prosthetic Limbs

Persons with a disability in Saint Lucia and in need of a prosthetic limb, that is hand, foot, leg, etc. are expected to benefit from support provided by the Kalpataru Projects International Limited.

This is being made possible by non-governmental organization Bhagwan Mahaveer Vikalang Seva

Samiti which specializes in physical and socio-economic rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities.

Therefore, the Ministry of Health, Wellness, and Elderly Affairs is calling on interested individuals who are physically challenged and wish to benefit from a prosthetic limb at NO COST to express their interest through the Office of the Chief Medical Officer.

The following information must be provided: name, nationality, residential address and contact information of the individual, in addition to the details of the amputated limb(s), for example, right hand, left foot, right leg, etc.

Individuals can email the information at cmohealth@gosl.gov.lc or call 468-5386. Interested individuals are asked to submit this information by Monday November 11, 2024.
