Three People Injured In Odsan Crash

On Sunday, Saint Lucia Fire Service (SLFS) Emergency personnel rushed to the scene of a head-on collision at Odsan in which three people – two men and a woman, sustained injuries.

The emergency responders had to free two of the victims who were trapped after the collision involving a Honda Civic and a Mitsubishi L200.

The SLFS received a call for assistance at about 8:20 pm, responding with ambulances from the Castries, Gros Islet, and Dennery fire stations to transport the injured to the hospital.

A fire truck from the Castries station also responded.

Sunday’s crash came amid mounting concern over an alarming spike in road incidents.

The incidents have occurred despite repeated official appeals for road users to exercise caution.

With the busy Christmas approaching, there are concerns that the trend will not only continue but also worsen.

  1. On purpose they doing it everyone in hurry to go somewhere. They not taking thier time on the road to go where they going.

  2. I spoke to a driver, he told most of the accidents at nights happen because of the LED lights and also these white lights from the opposite direction. At times thw lights are so bright that the driver on the opposite side cannot see the road and has to either stop or dive in the middle of the road.

That is very true. Sometimes you can’t make out the edge of the road either. With no markings you’re basically driving blind with those bright lights in your face.

  4. Blame the lights. By my house has no LED lights. All some of them do is speed and of course drink and drive. No DUI arrests in St. Lucia. So why not? But let one of them crash into my yard and they will find out what’s in store for them. Nonsense.
