Police arrested two juvenile males Sunday in connection with a phone snatching incident at Vigie, Castries.
Details regarding the ages of the two juveniles were not available. However, the police held them after a tourist was relieved of a mobile telephone, which was later recovered.
A social media video shows two youngsters on the ground in the presence of a police officer in uniform and a civilian.
In Castries last week, a City Police officer shot a man suspected of stealing from a tourist after the suspect allegedly resisted arrest and went for the officer’s firearm.
The suspect sustained a gunshot wound to the leg and was conveyed to the OKEU Hospital.

What is going on with our people? These tourists are providing jobs for our people, yet you have youngsters robbing the people who come here on vacation, bringing much needed revenue to our shores. Where are the parents of these children? When will they take responsibility? Yet as soon as one is shot and killed, these same parents will say “He was a good boy. He never did anything bad to me.”
After the fete in new village, the rum drinking and ganja smoking. Nothing positive to do after, so let’s go back to what we know best. Too late to call on the parents. Responsible parents already doing their best, which is the majority, the government has the take care of the minority that is causing the problem.
