ECCB Governor Recognised For ‘Exceptional Contribution’ To Finance

Grenada has recognised the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB) Governor, Timothy N.J. Antoine, for his ‘exceptional contribution’ to finance, the Bank disclosed in a release on Wednesday.

According to the release, Antoine was among 50 individuals and organisations across 20 categories who received awards for outstanding contributions to nation-building to mark Grenada’s 50th anniversary of independence.

They received the awards on Grenada’s 51st anniversary of independence on 7 February 2025, following a nomination period open to the public.

“This prestigious award is a testament to Governor Antoine’s exceptional leadership, dedication, and selfless service in advancing the region’s development as a national, regional and international public servant spanning almost 32 years,” the ECCB noted.

As Governor of the ECCB, the Bank observed that Antoine continues to champion innovative financial solutions and collective action for regional development.

The Awards Ceremony on 7 February at the Kirani James Athletic Stadium brought together government officials, business leaders, external guests, members of the diplomatic and consular corps, and citizens and residents of Grenada.
