A fatal car crash on Nelson Mandela Drive, Vigie, on Sunday night, has left one man dead and another in critical condition.
Thirty-nine-year-old Sam Emmanuel of Hospital Road, Castries, died in the accident, which the Department of Road Safety and Accident Investigations received a report about at approximately 8:20 p.m.
Emmanuel was one of two men in a silver motor vehicle that was extensively damaged when it hit a tree.
Emergency responders from the Saint Lucia Fire Service attended to the victims at the scene and transported them to the Owen King European Union Hospital for further medical care.
However, Emmanuel succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. The second occupant, whose name was not released, remains in critical condition.

Where? How? The Vigie peninsula is quite interesting i think– one obstruction ( collision for example) along certain parts of that airport stretch and no one can enter or leave, except by air or sea!!!
