From Saint Lucia to the entire Caribbean, Hermina Elcock is redefining regional media. As General Manager of Barbados TODAY and St Lucia Times, she’s leading with vision, strategy, and an unshakable belief in the power of information.
“My father taught me that knowledge and education are the keys to liberation,” she says. “Media allows me to do more than just make money—I can help improve society. I’m not just Barbadian or Lucian; I am a Caribbean citizen. Our region is like the U.S., with different states, but our leaders haven’t realized it yet. I move as a Caribbean citizen, and no one can tell me otherwise.”
Elcock’s journey—from indie publishing to corporate leadership—is a masterclass in resilience, adaptation, and bold decision-making.
