Michael Jordan and Jake Paul in Saint Lucia

Basketball legend Michael Jordan and YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul are in Saint Lucia.

According to a post on the official Saint Lucia Tourism Authority (SLTA) Facebook page, NBA superstar Jordan touched down here earlier on Friday, “sending waves of excitement across the island.”

Jordan, popularly known as MJ, played 15 seasons in the NBA between 1984 and 2003, winning six championships with the Chicago Bulls.

In 1984, he turned an initial five-year multi-million-dollar shoe deal with Nike, which evolved into the globally recognised Air Jordan brand, now a multi-billion-dollar enterprise.

Although retired, Jordan remains one of the most recognisable figures in sports and entertainment.

Meanwhile, the 28-year-old Cleveland, Ohio native Paul has also been spotted in Saint Lucia.

Paul, who transitioned from YouTube fame to professional boxing, made headlines last year when he defeated 58-year-old former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson.

“Paul’s presence in Saint Lucia adds to the growing buzz surrounding the destination, as both of these celebrities enjoy the beauty of the Caribbean,” the SLTA said.
