Windward Islands player Noelle Leo carried Triple L to victory in the LIX Franchise T10 Tapeball Explosion on Tuesday night, beating Glass Xperts under the lights in a low-scoring encounter on the Balata Playing Field.
Batting first, Glass Xperts struggled to 47-9 in their 10 overs. Noah Sonny scored 10 and Triple L’s Jeaneal Thomas, Brian Oliviere and Dwight Giddings took two wickets each. The Leo family of Millet also got in on the act. Noelle Leo, normally a wicketkeeper, took one wicket, as did his uncle Justus and cousin Shervon.
Noelle paced Triple L to victory with a rapid-fire 20. The target was reached in just 5.5 overs, with the final score 55-2. Anderson Charles was also in double figures (11).
On Monday, Media Mavericks beat Babonneau Mini Bus by 10 wickets. Mini Bus made 71-6 with David Joseph making 30 and Zinakki Louis taking three wickets. Mavericks got to 72 without loss in six overs; Ephron Charles reaching 50 not out.
Cepal Holdings recorded a narrow 12-run win over IBA. Cepal Holdings made 127-2, Sacchin Cepal 71 and Amari Venner 22. IBS made a brave challenge, but fell short at 115-5. Garette Alphonse hit 35 and Jaden Florent 27.
