Record Numbers visit for Lucian Carnival 2025

Preliminary figures for Saint Lucia’s Carnival reveal a 36% surge in visitor arrivals over last year to reach an all-time high.

Geraine Georges, the public relations manager at the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority, shared the milestone during a press briefing on Wednesday.

“This year, I am pleased to say that approximately 24,500 visitors arrived during the carnival period,” Georges announced. The figures mark a steady rise from 16,000 visitors in 2023 and 18,000 in 2024.

Lucian Carnival has drawn an increasingly international audience, with attendees from the US, Canada, the UK, Martinique, Guadeloupe, the Netherlands, Switzerland, the United Arab Emirates and Spain, among other nations.

Georges suggested that the country’s promotional strategy is working.

“We were seeing that the celebrity influence is pushing boundaries,” she said. “We also have a formula where we partner with carnivals around the region and, of course, the international launch of Lucian Carnival in Miami has become an annual staple.”

This year, the SLTA hosted a roster of high-profile guests, including makeup artist Shayla Mitchel (@makeupShayla), reality star Angela Simmons, actor Lance Gross, singer Chloe Bailey and Canadian TV host Tyrone Edwards.

A collaboration with Bailey and Windjammer Landing, offering a trip giveaway, drove unprecedented engagement for Travel Saint Lucia, resulting in 14,000 new followers, 983 post likes, and 26,700 comments.

“So it just speaks to the collaboration and how much we are growing and how much we are showcasing Saint Lucia in that light,” Georges said.

She also pointed out that two daily flights from Miami and New York, which drew strong demand, also contributed to the record arrivals.

  1. Or they simply came because Julien Alfred has become a worldwide name. The obsession over Bailey (D-list celebrity) is wild!
