The IGY Rodney Bay Marina in Saint Lucia, will once again welcome participants crossing the finishing line in the Atlantic Rally for Cruisers (ARC). The ARC, a trans-ocean rally for cruising yachts, each year features over 100 vessels that set sail from Las Palmas on the island of Gran Canaria to Rodney Bay, Saint Lucia.
On November 6, the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority (SLTA) held a sponsors presentation for this year’s event, which will kick off on November 23.
The ARC hits a significant milestone this year as it celebrates 40 years, with Saint Lucia boasting the 37th year as the finish line for the event.
“Every year as the ARC makes its journey across the Atlantic and sets its sights on Rodney Bay, the world is reminded of what makes Saint Lucia truly special; our beauty our people our hospitality and our ability of course to host world class events,” Christopher Gustave, marketing manager for Caribbean, events and sports at the SLTA stated at the brief ceremony.
The ARC, Gustave noted, was more than a yacht race. “It is a global story about courage, adventure, and connection.
“And that story ends right here in Saint Lucia year after year because of the strong beautiful partnerships like the ones we are honouring here” he said, referencing the sponsors present.
Gustave stressed the importance of the sponsors and pointed to what he said was the power of private sector collaboration in strengthening Saint Lucia’s tourism product: “ensuring marquee events came through with a value, visibility, and unforgettable experiences.”
The 2025 platinum sponsors are Sixt Rent a Car and SOL Saint Lucia. Gold sponsors are The Wave Saint Lucia and silver sponsors Angostura and Bank of Saint Lucia. Bronze sponsors Massy Stores Saint Lucia, Piton Beer, and telecommunications partner Digicel are also contributing to the event.
The ARC falls under the auspices of World Cruising Club, with support from the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority, Events Saint Lucia, and IGY Rodney Bay Marina.
