Jamaican artiste Skeng to headline Yamaha Sunfest

The picturesque Pigeon Point beachfront in Gros Islet will, for the second year, be the home of Yamaha Sunfest.

Last year’s inaugural event saw thousands of French visitors and Saint Lucians immersing themselves in one of the largest beach fest on the island. Organisers are once again anticipating that patrons will indulge in this unique event, which marries water sporting activities and exciting fun and entertainment on the beach.

The Yamaha Sunfest is a unique sensory experience that connects the cultures of Martinique, Guadeloupe, and Saint Lucia. This is unveiled through a potpourri of musical genres, culinary delights, drinks and of course water activities.

Saint Lucia will welcome thousands of visitors from the French territories and other islands in this exhilarating celebration, which unfolds on the evening of November 7, at the Gros Islet street party. On the rocks, hosted on the Pier in Gros Islet, will be the home of the welcome party and will feature local and French DJs.

The main event Yamaha Sunfest is on November 8 and will be a tribute to Guy Thelamon.

The event promises an amazing line up of DJs and artiste including Jamaican dancehall star Skeng as the headliner. The line-up will also include Armani, Danthology, N’ken, Cecilene as well as Subance and Mighty from Saint Lucia among many others.   DJs Ti Maestro, Mano, and Shakazulu will also keep the crowd alive.

This main event at Pigeon Point Beach will run from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

A Yamaha Chill out on November 9 will bring the curtains down on Yamaha Sunfest and will feature DJs, a chill-out zone, massages, and body painting.
