Jamaican dancehall artist Skeng performed for the first time in Saint Lucia on Saturday. Skeng, who has been dogged by controversy, was the lead act for the second edition of Yamaha Sunfest, a boat and beach event that attracted thousands of visitors from Martinique and Guadeloupe to Saint Lucia.

Skeng, who appeared in a green sweat suit, stormed onto the Pigeon Island stage like a tidal wave, before stripping away most of his clothing by the end of his 45-minute performance. His set included songs like Protocol, Life Changes and Likkle Miss.

Skeng was preceded by fellow Jamaican artist Armanii, whose charm made him a favourite among the ladies, along with energetic sets from Saint Lucian Dennery segment performers Cooyah, Subance and Mighty.

Yamaha Sunfest also featured a number of French artists including Danthology, N’ken and Yozo & Chati as well as numerous DJs from Martinique and Guadeloupe.
The event concluded on Sunday with a cooldown at Pigeon Island featuring watersports and fun beach activities.
