Antigua Racing Cup Set for April 2026 Debut
The inaugural Antigua Racing Cup (ARC) will take place April 9-12, 2026, off the island’s south coast.
Developed by the Ministry of Tourism and the Antigua & Barbuda Tourism Authority, with support from the National Parks Authority and local stakeholders, the ARC is intended to complement Antigua Sailing Week and expand the island’s racing calendar.
The regatta is designed specifically for competitive sailors, with race management, course design and scheduling focused on performance.

Nelson’s Dockyard will serve as the Regatta Village, providing logistical support and hosting post-race gatherings.
Event Highlights
Racing Format: Courses tailored for monohulls, maxis, offshore multihulls, and smaller boats. Dual scoring under CSA and IRC will be managed via Nautical Cloud software.
One-Design Divisions: RS Elite and Petticrow Dragon fleets confirmed; Diam trimarans under consideration.
Venue: Antigua’s south coast offers consistent trade winds and varied conditions. Nelson’s Dockyard provides a central base for teams and social events.

The ARC aims to strengthen Antigua’s position as a serious racing destination and add depth to the Caribbean regatta circuit.
“The Antigua Racing Cup is built for sailors who thrive on tight courses, strong trades, and want to kick back ashore,” said Race Manager Jaime Torres.
“It fills a natural gap in the Caribbean calendar with a regatta focused purely on top-class racing. From the start line to dockside, the Antigua Racing Cup will deliver the high standards sailors expect from the world’s great racing venues. The Antigua Racing Cup is designed from the water up to challenge some of the world’s best racing teams with loads of cruising boats.”
