Just 4 Fun Carnival band, which won the Spirit of Carnival award last year with its portrayal of ‘Mas’, is first off the launching pad again this year.
On Saturday January 31, the band launched its theme and portrayal for Lucian Carnival 2026.
The invite only event was held at the Royalton Hotel with hundreds of stakeholders and enthusiasts in attendance. It was also streamed live via YouTube, and has garnered more than one million views across their social media platforms.
While intermittent showers delayed the start of the event, once it got underway there was a non-stop flow of vibrancy and excitement, resonating from the stage onto the audience.
With the theme ‘Le Jaden: The Enchanted Garden’, Just 4 Fun Carnival unveiled seven sections. The presentations were interspersed with performances by a number of soca artistes including QPid, Imran Nerdy, Ricky T and Ezra D FunMachine as well as popular deejays.

The sections displayed included Ionara Koraca, Papiyon, Siwo, Wild Flower, Paradisus, Dawn and Firefly – the VVIP indulgence section.
Judging by the reaction of those in attendance and the comments online, the band appears to have captured the imagination and interest of revelers once again.
When asked what went into this year’s theme Just 4 Fun’s Veil Tobiere explained that the band wanted to portray beauty from a different perspective.
“Le Jardin literally represents the beauty of Saint Lucia and its uniqueness. We know of our flora and fauna and even some of the wildflowers with their own attractions,” he told St. Lucia Times.

“When you look at what the firefly, although it is not common nowadays, brings to the garden, illuminating it with its own beauty, we also have the Saint Lucian iguana. So it is an enchanted garden that really and truly speaks to the enchantment and beauty of Saint Lucia and of course we have put this in the content of our Kweryol -Le Jardin.”
According to Just 4 Fun band director Rostan Taylor, every year the band takes stock of what revelers are saying, their requests and recommendations.

“We listen with an aim to come back better the following year to mesmerize and have that wow effect in order to give revelers an unforgettable experience,” he said.
Last year Just 4 Fun celebrated its 25th anniversary and the band was fully sold out several weeks before Carnival Monday and Tuesday.
The band has continued to grow its brand with a number of sought out events alongside other collaborators. These include Indulgence Breakfast Fete, Escape and Remedy as well as a J’ouvert band.
