Relatives of missing Saint Lucian Samantha Denise Primus have announced a City-wide search party for Sunday to find the missing 46-year-old.
Primus, described as a developmentally disabled, deaf, non-verbal individual, went missing on Friday, December 23.
She may need medical attention.
The concerned relatives of the missing woman have organised a large-scale search party to commence from 11:00 am on Sunday, January 15.
In a release, the Consulate General of Saint Lucia in New York disclosed that the search would encompass the boroughs of Queens, Manhattan, the Bronx, and Brooklyn.
“The family is making a special appeal to the Saint Lucian community to enlist in large numbers as volunteers,” the release stated.
It asked interested individuals to assemble at the corner of Eastern Parkway and Utica Avenue in Brooklyn from 11:00 am on Sunday to be in one of the four search crews.
At the time of her disappearance, Primus was spending the Christmas holidays with her sister in Elmont, Long Island.
On Thursday, December 29, the missing woman’s family received information from the Nassau County Police Department that she had been found in Queens on December 23 at 8:00 pm, three and a half miles away from her sister’s home.
According to the Consulate release, the report stated that New York Fire Department medics took her to the Queens Hospital medical centre from which she was discharged a few hours later.
According to reports, Primus was also spotted at a deli on Nostrand Avenue in the Bedford-Stuyvesant area of Brooklyn.
