The Soufriere Regional Development Foundation (SRDF) stands in full support of the Royal St. Lucia Police Force as it undertakes an investigation into an incident that occurred on Thursday afternoon.
At approximately 4:30 on Thursday, shots were fired at the company’s vehicle while three of the organization’s employees were on duty. The three employees are trained firearm holders for the purpose of their duties.
Fortunately, the SRDF staff were unharmed during the incident. We commend their swift action to safeguard their lives and get to the police quickly and safely.
Our priorities at this time are to ensure the physical and psychological health of our employees and to continue to give our full cooperation to the police to ensure that justice can be served.
The organization is committed to taking all necessary security and safety precautions to safeguard its employees and property.
The police investigation is active, and as such, the organization is mindful not to compromise the investigation in any way by engaging in speculation. We will be further guided by police findings.

No one Suppose to Know What time the Cash leaving the Premises and Secondly use .another Route .
The SRDF should have been performing cashless transactions years ago. With the volume of financial activity that occurs at the Springs, it is a disaster waiting to happen. The organization is known for its frequent “financial black eyes” administered within should strive for electronic transactions. Just maybe someone likes the current situation with its limitless opportunities.
Everybody knows already inside job….man knows the movements
Safety ?????????????—just saying
Can someone tell me all the person who have been arrested for firearms, what become of their cases? Are they dismissed? Or the magistrate continues to adjourn them? Shame on St. Lucia
I can’t tell you the outcome of ALL the cases for person’s who have who have been caught with firearms. You would have to visit the judiciary for that information. However, I can safely say that quite a few of them are out on bail.
There is one who lives lower down my road on bail. He is still doing dirt. I have spotted him… with crews in two of the districts. It’s all in keeping with the spirit of, “you must catch the same guy more than once.”
