IRD Extends Deadline For Filing Income Tax Returns

spot_img

The Inland Revenue Department (IRD) announces an extension to the filing deadline for income tax returns due to a marked increase in new registrants on its E-Filing platform.

To facilitate this increase in new registrants utilising the E-Filing platform, the IRD has extended the deadline for filing Income Tax returns from Friday March 31, 2023 to Thursday, April 06, 2023.

The IRD is pleased with the unprecedented number of registrations on its E-Filing platform over the past few days.

This method of filing is secure, accurate, efficient and a convenient alternative to in-person filing. This, however, has caused a slight delay in the approval of registrations and the eventual filing of those returns, prompting the need for the deadline extension.

We encourage all taxpayers to take advantage of this extension to ensure all returns are filed.

For more information on E-Filing, please visit:  The IRD Website’s E-Services page ( http://irdstlucia.gov.lc/index.php/services/eservices ) for step-by-step instructions on registering and filing online; or

 Watch the E-Registration & E-Filing how-to videos on the IRD’s Youtube page ( https://www.youtube.com/@inlandrevenuedepartmentsai9634).

  1. Yall extending deadline .when will you me my returns from 2015.some people get theirs every year while others don’t get anything. I have also heard people say that they had to give someone a cut so they can get their returns.
When you owe IRD they give u deadline to pay or you incure interest right away. The government is robbing the tax paying citizens of this country. Your department is only concerned about collecting and not paying.
Maybe these issues reflect on the incompetence of those that run the department and on government to meet its commitments to its citizens..
