A couple in Martinique who prefer to remain anonymous won 53,041,075 euros in the Euromillions jackpot during a May 5 draw.
The point of sale was in the Martinique capital, Fort de France.
According to media reports, the winners in their fifties have already announced the big news to a couple of close friends but were waiting for the right moment to share it with their children.
After struggling a lot, they have described the win as a significant event.
Regarding plans for their windfall, the couple want to create local businesses to generate employment, acquire a main and secondary home, a car each and travel the Caribbean.
They also plan to quit their jobs and assist their loved ones.

Oh in this day of broke and lazy, leaching relatives, that money finish already! The first step was to never announce your plans but to speak to at least 4 different financial advisors, who aren’t from youtube. Especially if you came from a struggling background. Secondly never announce to family, help them, and allow them to believe it was a loan! Thirdly, start your businesses anonymously but give family including kids the impression you were working from home or found new jobs. Once your family and friends know, your kids will know! I would love to hear a followup in 1 year.
Yeah? How many millions have you won to be an expert on giving out internet advice?
I wish the saint lucia National lottery would take a page out of this book cause when we win they want to say it’s a must that your face and name be shown. If you winning that kind of money I believe for privacy and for your own safety and protection if you don’t want your identity to be shown then its up to you.
If I’m paying out that kind of money you bet I’m using your face to promote my lottery.
