The Ministry of Equity, Social Justice and Empowerment is set to launch the first of three programs under its Crime and Violence Interruption Programme this week, commencing August 8, 2023.
Approximately 60 young people between the ages of 17 to 30 will be trained under the Basic Life and Employability Skills Program. The participants hail from communities within the Gros Islet, Vieux Fort, Castries and Anse La Raye communities.
During the period August 8 – 31, 2023, the participant will undergo training in topics such as Conflict Resolution, Emotional Intelligence, Resume Writing, My Pitch and Preparing for an Interview.
This training will develop their ability to find and maintain work and ensure that they are able to identify and speak positively about their strengths and abilities.
