‘This Victory Is Ours To Protect’

Prime Minister Philip J. Pierre, fresh from a one hundred percent vote of confidence as the political leader of the Saint Lucia Labour Party (SLP), has urged the party faithful to defend his administration’s work.

SLP delegates cast 261 votes in Pierre’s favor at the party’s recent annual delegates’ closed conference.

“This is the third time in the history of this great party that a leader has received 100% of the votes of confidence, and every time, I have been the Political Leader,” Pierre noted.

“Let us continue defending the work of this Labour Administration. This victory is ours to protect. Let us remain focused and continue the work of putting the people of Saint Lucia first,” Pierre wrote on Facebook.

The electorate voted the SLP into office on July 26, 2021, in the general elections, which the party won by a landslide.

Pierre promised to continue strengthening the SLP structure and nurturing a cadre of men and women worthy of serving ‘our beloved Saint Lucia’.

The SLP leader’s frequent references to ‘protecting the victory’ has often been condemned by the opposition United Workers Party (UWP).

According to the UWP, it is unfortunate that while the people of Saint Lucia experience high unemployment, out-of-control crime, and a high cost of living, that is the SLP’s focus.

“There could not be anything more political, anything more ridiculous, or anything more absurd or self-centred,” UWP second deputy leader, Dominic Fedee recently declared.

  1. SLP mantra and agenda: ” Protect OUR SLP Victory” Defend and ensure our victory so we can continue to talk, take and travel.

We the SLP leadership do not care if our internal security is rotton to the core with even tourists now being robbed at Vigie.

We the SLP hacks do not care that our health care system is resulting in the death of citizens and is gutted from SLP incompetence.
We the SLP will protect the victory by victimising all other non SLP Lucians. They will get no jobs, no constituency funds, no support from SLP MPs.
We will protect OUR SLP victory by maligning, attacking, destroying the reputation of any non SLP Lucian who mentions anything bad going on in the country.
To protect the SLP victory We will listen to no advise fron non SLP Lucians no matter how much experience they have.
To Protect the SLP victory We will walk over Lucians while baring our teeth in fake smiles with our ears glued to our phones because we are so important.
Yeah my brethren- we will Protect the Victory no matter how it hurts you Lucians!

That is why they go about making the comments we only saying it now and come election we will still come out and get vex with our neigbbours for them. Slp government get vex with people if they speak against them even when they know the things you say is the truth. As for using thos platform to mske your comments once the comment is not in their favour they will get rid of the news item even if it is a day old so others cannot srr your comment. When will democracy ever be opened and honest here. People are getting worse in our country. Fewer and fewer are embracing truth and honesty. Come jesus come. Its high time we give an account of oursrlves and god dont judge by your outward pretence but whats true within your heart. Peace and love. News online put back the news item with my comment. That news item came out yesterday. Make do with those before. Surpressing ones comment from being read aftef it has been printex is not freedom of speech

  5. Jump HighJump Low – Protect the Victory. Anon said it all. It’s amaing the PM eh interested in protecting the citizens of this country. Not interested in protecting the image nor integrity of this country just Protect the victory to remain in power whiles Crime is rising, Accidents, Road fatalities, prices . I think ill stop here. Btw let’s protect the victory

  6. Guys please be careful what you say because DIE HARD BLIND SLP PARTY HACKS especially THE HONORABLE HIGH GRADE may get angry. . It’s ok to love your party, but if they are doing what they promise, if they are seriously contributing to the development of the people and nation. You have a party that can’t curb crime, a security minister who always says i don’t know, a deputy who also never knows. Leaders who think the people whom they serve don’t deserve answers. When pressured ask for time to cook up some bull shit story to throw at even those who strongly support and voted them in. DISRESPECTFUL…..Doesn’t matter which party is in power I will strongly support the ministers who are actually making a difference…. For now, I’ll end here

  7. “Unless the LORD watches over St Lucia 🇱🇨 the watchmen will stand in vain,
The word of the LORD ❗
