CPL Trophy to Tour Saint Lucia in July

The Republic Bank Caribbean Premier League trophy will be back in Saint Lucia in early July. The trophy was last on these shores last year, when the Saint Lucia Kings won their first CPL title in the 12th year of the competition.

Saint Lucia will be the second stop of the 2025 trophy tour, which kicks off in Antigua & Barbuda on Friday, June 27. Saint Lucian fans will be see the iconic CPL trophy and take part in fan-focused activities on July 4 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Derek Walcott Square in Castries.

Head coach Daren Sammy is likely to be absent, as he will be on West Indies duty. Johnson Charles, the all-time leading run-scorer in CPL history, should be on hand, along with the Mon Repos duo of all-rounder Shadrack Descarte and fast bowler Keon Gaston. Gaston will make his CPL debut with the Kings this season.

After leaving Saint Lucia, the trophy will move on to Barbados, then St Kitts & Nevis. Each stop will build anticipation ahead of the CPL season, which officially gets underway on August 14.

“The CPL trophy always creates excitement from our fans,” said Pete Russell, CEO of the CPL. “We wanted to give fans from across the region a chance to interact with this iconic trophy and to have a chance to get their hands on tickets and merch from the CPL and its franchises.”

The immersive experience will include opportunities to take unforgettable photos with the CPL Trophy, high-energy performances by top DJs and local artists, interactive games and giveaways from CPL partners. Patrons can also purchase CPL tickets on-site and take advantage of exclusive promotions.
