Prospere propels Warriors into Dream 11 final

Amazonian Warriors are into the final of the 2025 Dream 11 Saint Lucia T10 Blast, having overcome an indifferent start. Led by Alleyn Prospere, the Warriors defeated Iyanola Heritage by six wickets in Sunday’s qualifier at the Daren Sammy Cricket Ground.

Prospere took three early wickets as Warriors held Heritage to 102-6. Kensley Paul was dismissed for six, Dominic Auguste for two, Xavier Gabriel for a duck and Bolton Sayers was run out for one, all in the second over of the match.

Heritage never really recovered, also losing Dwight Thomas for a duck. Ephron Charles hit a quickfire 59 off just 25 balls. His knock included four fours and five sixes.

But the headliner was the bowling effort from Prospere, whose two overs yielded just six runs. Tyler Venner took 2-11 from his sole over.

Warriors set about chasing the target of 103 with vigour. Dane Edward made 12 from six, and Murlan Sammy 15 from 14. But Jaden Elibox’s 38 off 20 carried the team batting second over the line, with Sacchin Cepal adding 18 from 10.

Cepal was dismissed off the penultimate ball of the second-to-last over, with the team needing just a run a ball at that stage. But Dwight Thomas bowled a wide, and incoming batter Rohan Lesmond smashed a six off the last legal delivery of the over to bring the Warriors within one.

Jaden Elibox hit the winning runs with a boundary with five balls remaining. Warriors now await the winner of the second qualifier being played on Monday.

Whiptail Smashers earned the right to face Heritage in the second qualifier after beating Piton Strikers by 10 runs in the eliminator. Tyrel Chicot hit 37 runs from 18 balls to lead the Smashers to 112-6. He then took 1-17 from his two overs to restrict Strikers to 102-2.
