Republic Bank, CPL confirm renewed partnership for 3 more years

The Caribbean Premier League (CPL) and Republic Bank Limited have confirmed the renewal of their partnership. Under a new three-year deal, Republic Bank will continue as title sponsor and official bank of the Republic Bank CPL while also maintaining its support for the Women’s Caribbean Premier League (WCPL) and the popular grassroots programme RBL Five for Fun, which encourages youth participation in cricket.

This collaboration began in 2016 when Republic Bank came on board as the official banking partner and was elevated in 2023 with the bank’s first role as title sponsor.

With the new agreement, both partners pledge to deliver even more excitement in the years ahead. Republic Bank and CPL say they share a strong commitment to regional economic growth and nurturing Caribbean talent. In 2024, the tournament generated an estimated US$225.4 million in economic impact, highlighting the synergy between CPL and the financial institution.

Richard S. Sammy, Group Vice President, Republic Financial Holdings Limited, and Vice President, Republic Bank Limited, said: “We are absolutely thrilled to renew our partnership with the Caribbean Premier League for another three years. Since 2016, we’ve been deeply committed to investing in the development of cricket across the region, and this renewed commitment is a testament to our belief in the power of the sport to bring people together and inspire a new generation of regional talent to shine brightly on a world stage. This partnership is more than just a sponsorship; it’s a shared vision to enable a top-tier cricket experience for fans while providing digital-first banking solutions that meet the evolving needs of the Caribbean people.”

CPL CEO Pete Russell added: “We are delighted to welcome back Republic Bank as the title sponsor and official bank of the Caribbean Premier League. They have been a phenomenal partner of the tournament, and their involvement ensures three more years of investment into putting together what is one of the world’s great cricket leagues. My personal thanks go out to the Republic Bank Board and executive team in believing in the value that the CPL brings to the region and for continuing the journey with us for the next three years.”
