Public officers will be dismissed from work at noon on Friday, December 5, 2025, as the nation prepares for the official swearing-in of Prime Minister Philip J. Pierre to a second term.
The Office of the Prime Minister announced the half-day, describing it as a gesture that underscores the significance of the occasion and allows officers to observe and participate in the national event.
Essential services will remain in operation, with ministries and departments expected to make arrangements to ensure continued service where required.
The Prime Minister’s Office also encouraged private sector employers, where possible, to grant similar time off to staff.
The Government expressed gratitude to public officers for their dedication and invited citizens to join in what it called a moment of renewal and unity.
