On Friday, October 20, 2023, about 8:30pm, Officers attached to the Criminal Investigations Department in Vieux Fort, received and responded to a report of a shooting, on Bridge Street, Vieux Fort.
Upon arrival at the scene, there was no sign of any victim(s).
They then proceeded to a Medical Facility where they met a male individual with what looked like a gunshot wound to his right inner thigh area.
The male individual identified himself as Tyron Fontenelle.
Fontenelle informed the officers that an unknown person in a car shot at him, hitting him in the thigh and he was escorted to the hospital via private vehicle. He is reported to be presently in a stable condition.
The scene was processed by the Scenes of Crime Officers of the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force and one (1) spent 9mm shell was recovered. Investigations into this matter are ongoing.
The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force is pleading to anyone who may have information to come forward. Anonymous tips can also be provided at the number 555.

How can you as a system have people working for 3 EC dollars an hour and you want crime to stop . The working poor need a wage rate of 15 dollars an hour…
