Taiwan Pledges US$100,000 Flood Relief Donation To Saint Lucia

Taiwan has pledged a US$100,000 donation to Saint Lucia to assist in its recovery from recent devastating floods, which wreaked havoc in the North of the Island.

Taiwan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the donation on Friday.

The country’s Central News Agency (CNA) quoted a Foreign Ministry statement saying the money would help Saint Lucia’s reconstruction efforts.

CNA  also reported that Taiwan would give more help if needed.

Saint Lucia’s National Emergency Management Organisation (NEMO) has said that the disaster level after the recent floods has risen to two on a scale of four due to the extent of the damage in the North.

The National Emergency Operation Centre (NEOC) was coordinating the distribution of relief supplies to households and communities affected by the November 6 trough system.

Damage Analysis and Needs Assessment (DANA) teams have been deployed to affected communities to identify the needs of households and communities that require assistance.

Assessments will continue into the coming weeks.

  3. Once again the (The Haves and the Have notes.) St Lucia is recovering from devastating, catastrophic floods which have left, some wondering, why me.?

The generous Twainese Government have donated $100,000 gratuity to help with the relief effort. Where and how will this money and other relief funds be spent.?

I wrote in my last post that, St Lucia’s infrastructure needs an overhaul. Why are there no Flood Barriers or Land Slippage re-inforcement Barriers. All of these should be in places which are pruned to affected.

The greedy Land grabbers who are thinking that, building Hotels’ and not investing in helping the People of St Lucia and their quality of life.

I woke-up this morning to hear and read that BESOS owner of (AMAZON) have awarded DOLLY PARTON $100,0000 for what.? Mr BESOS, are you NUTS.? There are HUMAN BEINGS, in need of that kind of money to help rebuild their shattered lives due too CLIMATE CHANGE.😞😞😞

  4. Oh Marie, Marie, I do love Dolly and for a long time she has made the hearts of many a folk very happy; BESOS might have given U.S.$1M; in my next life I’ll be in a better position to give even better to those on this ROCK; being closer to the FATHER I’ll just ask. Amen.

  5. FOX…….You just don’t get it? It’s totally outrageous to reward someone who’s already got vast amount of money with such generosity.
Considering that I am one of the recipients’ as I am an AMAZON customer. My ethos, there are those in dire need of that money.
Taiwan’s $100,000 and Bezos’s $100,00000 can you see the disparity?
