Four Saint Lucian long distance runners will compete in the Trinidad Carnival Marathon,
scheduled for Sunday, January 29, 2023, in Trinidad and Tobago.
They are Winsbert Sylvester, Julian Toussaint, Junior Joseph, and Jason Sayers and are members of the 758 Distance Crew.
Three of the runners have secured their own financial assistance, while Sayers was
assisted by his club in Martinique, Golden Star, and Blue Waters.
The quartet will thereafter compete at the Copenhagen Marathon in Denmark, where they will be hoping to secure qualification times for the upcoming Pan American Games and the CAC Games.
The team would like to thank the general public for their continued support and encouragement and promises to put in all the effort to ensure that Saint Lucia is
represented at the highest level of competition.
