Saint Lucia has recorded 12 cases of COVID-19 sub-variant XBB1.5 which has been circulating in China, the United States, the United Kingdom, and other countries.
Confirmation came from the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA).
Chief Medical Officer Dr. Sharon Belmar-George disclosed in a statement on Thursday that the confirmed cases here are distributed in most districts.
However, Belmar-George explained that the northern and central regions are the most affected.
