The Ministry of Youth Development and Sports is delighted to celebrate Mr. Dezral Long’s achievement as the youngest Calypso Monarch of Saint Lucia.

As part of this celebration, Minister Hon. Kenson Casimir believed that Dezral Long should be afforded the opportunity to witness first-hand the ‘mecca’ of calypso finals in the world –Trinidad and Tobago.

The Ministry collaborated with the Trinbago Unified Calypsonians’ Organization (TUCO) to realize this reward. Dezral Long will be attending the Calypso Monarch Finals slated for Sunday 19th February, 2023.

It is expected that this experience will enhance the knowledge and skills of the art form of the young Calypso Monarch as he continues to excel and be an example to our youth. We wish him all the best!
