Saint Lucia Bureau Of Standards Announces Urgent Recall Of Unsafe Christmas Lights

The Saint Lucia Bureau of Standards (SLBS) and Palace House Co Ltd wish to advise the
public of the immediate recall of Christmas Lights, which are non-compliant with the
compulsory national standard SLNS 51: 2002 Christmas -Tree and Decorative Lighting
outfits.

This recall affects all Chance Lights model 100 LED, country of origin China 250 volts, 2.5A.

The affected Christmas Lights are deemed unsafe due to under-size cord wire.

One hundred and eighty-one (181) affected lights were distributed up to the time of the recall while one hundred and nineteen (119) are in the custody of SLBS.

Customers are advised to cease the use of the affected products and return them to the point of purchase for a full refund.
