Police are investigating a shooting on Monday at Tete Chemin, Millet, in which they said a salesman sustained an injury during an armed robbery attempt.
According to reports, the salesman sustained a gunshot injury to the hand, but additional details surrounding the circumstances of the shooting were unclear.
Personnel at the Saint Lucia Fire Service (SLFS) Headquarters responded after receiving an emergency call at about 12:05 pm.
SLFS spokeswoman Stacy Joseph disclosed that while on their way, a vehicle carrying an injured man stopped the emergency responders, who assessed the victim, treated the wound to his hand, and transported him to the OKEU Hospital.
She said he was in stable condition.
