SLFA Inc Zonal Boys’ Club Competition Ends

The curtains came down on the SLFA Inc Zonal Boys Club U 10 competition on Sunday 2nd April at the Technical Centre in Grande Riviere, Dennery.

In the Third Place Play Off, Panthers defeated Knights FC 3 – 0. They got their goals from Lyon Griffith 20th and 33rd min and Raystan Bell 11th min.

The grand Finals featured unbeaten team CT Foundation coming up against Monchy FC. In the end Monchy FC emerged victorious 2 – 0, with goals from Kayden Thompson and own goal in the 24th min and Joshua Biscette in the 27th min.

Following the Finals, Trophies and medals were awarded to the top three Finishers, while Balls, Ball bags and Training Bibs were presented to each of the four Clubs.

Dailson Kisna of Knights FC received the Award for the most goals – 8. Meanwhile, the teams’ top goal scorers were Ethan Laurant CT Foundation 7, Lyon Griffith of Black Panthers 5 and Nathan Christophe of Monchy United with 2.

For their invaluable contribution, President of the SLFA Inc. Mr. Lyndon Cooper indicated that the top goal scorers of each of the four clubs will be awarded Scholarships to their school of Choice in September 2023.

The SLFA Inc. would like to thank all the participating teams, players, club officials, coaches, referees, caterers, and ground staff for hosting a successful U 10 Boys Club Zonal competition.

Special thanks to the parents, guardians, vendors and all those who came to offer their support to the young players.

Elsewhere, in the Under 17 competition, Black Panthers with goals from Inanaco Sylvester 35th and 56th min, Dante Serville 382nd min 7th and Eymani Butcher 82nd min defeated Valley Soccer 4 – 1.

Marvin St. Romaine pulled one back for Valley Soccer in the 21st min.
