On Friday, March 31, 2023, about 4:00 a.m. Officers attached to the Criminal Investigation Department, Castries, Gros Islet Patrol Team, Special Services Unit, Bicycle Patrol Unit, Central Intelligence Unit, Marigot, Anse La Raye and Canaries Police Stations and Officers attached to the Regional Security System, conducted an operation in La Caye, Dennery.
During the Operation a Search Warrant was executed on the premises of Jermaine Aurulien of Lemeiere, Dennery.
Officers recovered one (1) Glock 17 pistol and twenty-seven (27) rounds of 9mm Ammunition.
Jermaine Aurulien was arrested along with Zenny John a female of La Caye, Dennery. They were both charged for the Unlawful Possession of Firearm and Possession of Ammunition.
Jermaine Aurulien has been granted bail for the Unlawful Possession of Firearm in the sum of Thirty Thousand ($30,000) dollars, Possession of Ammunition, Twenty Thousand ($20,000) dollars and other bail conditions set by the Court.
Zenny John has been granted bail for Unlawful Possession of Firearm in the sum of Ten Thousand ($10,000) and Possession of Ammunition in the sum Fifteen Thousand ($15,000) and other bail conditions set by the Court.

This is great, but when is their court date?I hope we will not hear continuous adjournment.
The laws need to be restructured to either make bail unreasonably high (as a deterrent) or none at all for illegal gun possession. They just make bail and go on committing crimes. How is that not apparent to the legislative branch of the government?!??!
Don’t be fooled: the fact that this country has produced two Nobel Laureates doesn’t translate into comprehensive intelligence for the whole population! How come the leaders can’t figure out that if the gunslingers are guaranteed bail and freedom despite the stash of illegal guns and ammunition found with them, the criminals will not be deterred from maintaining their destructive behaviors?!
