On Friday, April 14, 2023, about 6:30 p.m. Officers attached to the Criminal Investigation Department, Castries and the Special Services Unit, North conducted an operation in La Criox, Babonneau.
During the Operation a Search Warrant was executed on the premises of Urian Sylvester, twenty (24) years and Marie Compton fifty-three (53) years of La Croix, Babonneau.
Officers recovered one (1) Cobra .380 pistol and five (5) rounds of .380 Ammunition. They were both charged for the Unlawful Possession of Firearm and Possession of Ammunition.
They were both taken before the First District Court and Urian Sylvester pleaded guilty to the offences. He was remanded to the Bordelias Correctional Facility until a later date for sentencing.
Marie Compton was granted bail in the sum of twenty thousand ($20,000) dollars.
