Police Shoot, Recapture Burglary Suspect Who Escaped Lawful Custody

On Tuesday, police recaptured a burglary suspect who escaped lawful custody at the Micoud police station, shooting him in the leg in the process.

The suspect, identified as Randy Charles, was awaiting transfer to the Bordelais Correctional Facility (BCF) after a court appearance on the burglary charge.

Officers said they found him in a house at Cul de Sac, Castries, and shot him in the leg when he approached them aggressively and failed to comply with orders to cease.

Charles was reported in stable condition at the OKEU Hospital after the incident at about 10:30 am on Tuesday.

Police plan to charge the house owner for harbouring a fugitive.

  1. Lol. St. Lucia is the best. The police have a whole cover story already.
    What actually happened is….
He escape and go to the same block that he always hangs out.. he see the police and he run, so they shoot him in his ass and the bullet come out the other side under his balls… this guy is a known theif and people are happy he is off the street for now.
However, the fact that the police can lie and say he approached them in an aggressive manner is scary because it means they can do what they want to people and justify their actions with a lie and that new legislation that recently passed supports this.

  2. He lucky they shoot his ass and not his crack skull. Escaping from custody warrant getting a few bullets the lease because is papeshow those thieves on who only pray on your banana tree.

  3. Re Article: Kodos to the law enforcement crew.
Kaykay’s comments regarding the law offices needs FACT check…

Let’s catch the thief’s and get rid of them the easy way or the hard way… * * * * *
    Happy Hump Day to everyone..

  4. seems kaykay was on the scene to know exactly what happened and was at the hospital assessing the injuries to know how the bullet enter his leg and came out under his balls

  5. I am tempted to say kudos to the police but I can’t since their statement gave me no answers to those questions. How did did this guy escape or did he escape at all. Was he released by a corrupt police officer/s. I really want to know since this guy should have never been able to escape if the police did their job right. I hope the police will put out a statement telling us who facilitated or allowed this guy to leave the station.
